Convenience is important in life, and power strips are not only very common, but they're also very convenient because they allow you to plug multiple things into a single outlet.

I know there aren't enough outlets where I need them at my house, yet there are random outlets on walls where I have no use for them. So, I do have power strips to maximize the outlets that are useful to me.

Since my grandpa was a firefighter in Minnesota, and often warned me about them. I worry about plugging too many things into power strips, so I spent a little extra for good surge protection. However, not all power strips offer surge protection, and even if they do, some things could cause problems if they're plugged in.

The 10 items below are items you should keep out of any power strip because, at best, they could cause an inconvenience, and, at worst, they could put your family in danger, especially if the power strip lacks proper surge protection.
