MnDOT Brings Back Annual ‘Name A Snowplow’ Contest
We have to make lemonade when life gives us lemons - or winter weather! This is a fun way to embrace it.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation just announced their annual Name A Snowplow contest!
The contest is in full swing and continues through Friday, December 20th at noon. Start brainstorming!
This is, of course, for the 2024-2025 winter season. Like I said, it helps make winter a little bit better, right?
Here's how it works: submit your unique, humorous name via their website before the deadline. Names should be funny and inspired by Minnesota or winter - or both!

You can only submit one name and it has to be thirty characters or less. This includes letters and spaces as well.
Political names or anything related to politics will not be considered because this is supposed to be fun! They will also not consider old winner names or anything close so get crafty.
Once the submission deadline rolls around, staff will narrow down the submissions and choose their favorites. Then, the list will be revealed and the public can vote on their favorites.
