Minnesota Vikings Kyle Rudolph Finalist For Award
According to the Star Tribune, Kyle Rudolph is the nominee for the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year for the third straight year.
Kyle Rudolph and his wife, Jordan, do a lot of charity work for the University of Minnesota's children’s hospital, hosting annual holiday events. They also started Rudolph’s End Zone, a 2,500-square-foot space allowing kids to play more to help the healing process. It also passes his love of football on to the kids.
He will be the nominee for the Minnesota Vikings, along with 31 other players who have been nominated by their teams. The winner will be announced on February 1st leading up to the Super Bowl. All the nominees get $50 grand for their charity, and the winner gets $250,000.
There will be a panel of judges, including former players, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and last year’s winner, now-retired DE Chris Long, who will decide the player deserving of the award.
The Vikings had a campaign to help Kyle called "Dear Kyle".
