Minnesota In-home Day Care Centers May Join the Union [VIDEO]
This has been discussed, and ultimately shot down in the past, but it looks like there is another attempt to unionize Minnesota in-home day care centers.
The Northland's News Center is reporting that Childcare Protective Bargaining Act was presented to the Senate Tuesday.
The goal is to provide the 9,000 in–home care providers in Minnesota with training in things like proper nutrition as well as give the workers a more direct line to the government to ensure better care overall.
If 30% percent of home daycare workers sign union authorization cards there will be a union election.
What are your thoughts on these centers joining the union?
