Minnesota Dentists Offering Free Dental Care For Children In Need in February
The Minnesota Dental Association is again presenting their Give Kids A Smile Campaign, which will provide free dental services to kids on February 1 and February 2.
The Minnesota Dental Association reports that well over half of Minnesota children enrolled in Medicaid have not received dental services in the past year and, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, nearly one in five children aged 5 to 11 years old has untreated cavities in their baby teeth.
The Give Kids A Smile campaign provides free dental services to help kids in need and appointments are being accepted now. In St. Louis County, the following providers are involved in the campaign:
