Minnesota-Based Target To Continue Enforcing Masks In Stores Nationwide
We are officially one year into the pandemic this month and while things are better than they were at this point last year, we aren't out of the woods just yet.
Several states recently made nationwide news with the announcement that they were lifting their mask mandates, meaning their residents would no longer be required to wear masks in certain businesses and restaurants, and the like.
With this news, Target made an announcement of their own, stating that they would still be requiring their customers to wear masks in stores, despite certain states no longer requiring masks.
Target also updated their in-store COVID-19 policies as we see the vaccine rolled out nationwide. According to their website, even if you are fully vaccinated, you are still required to wear a mask and social distance inside stores.
A few other updated COVID-19 policies include the suggestion that you should make a list when you head to the store so you can limit your time in store and avoid loitering and shopping alone if you can.
Other COVID-19 policies that will remain in place, and have been in place since the pandemic first hit, include plexiglass shields at checkout lanes, heavy cleaning and sanitizing and the monitoring of in-store guests to limit store capacity.
Back in April of 2020, Target began limiting the number of customers in store. They even cancelled their popular Black Friday sales event in lieu of a more pandemic-friendly plan, offering sales over a period of days to spread out the number of customers in store.
Despite all of the changes brought about by the pandemic over the past year, it definitely isn't hurting Target's sales. The corporation saw sales grow by billions!
