‘Midway’ Movie About Epic World War II Coming on Veteran’s Day

Veteran's Day is November 8th, and what a great time to release this new movie 'Midway.' It's about the epic battle that was the turning point of WWII in the Pacific Theater.

A lot of people don't realize how close we were to losing to the Japanese in World War II. They had decimated our fleet with the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941. This event is what thrust us into the War in the Pacific and Europe.

Our Navy was badly hurt, and the Japanese were moving into the west coast, winning battles along the way. Midway was a huge, vital strategic win for the United States. As you can see in the trailer, it was our chance to finally punch back at the Japanese.

There was a historic movie already made called 'Midway' back in 1976 that was fantastic. It did a great job following the history. Hopefully this one will honor the legacy of our Veterans and the greatest generation. Modern technology, cgi, and animation will make this one feel more real than we've seen in the past. Judging by the trailer, it looks like it won't dissapoint.
