Meet The DTA Employee Of The Year For 2014

What an honor!  Especially for a company that boasts over 150 employees and 63 buses.  This isn't Dan Rolland's first award with the DTA which shows the longevity of his career!

According to Heath Hickok, Director of Marketing for the Duluth Transit Authority, the 2014 DTA Employee of the Year is Dan Rolland.  He's career with the DTA has spanned 16 years!  He was recognized at the DTA's 33rd Annual Employee Safety & Recognition Award Breakfast.

Dan started his employment with the DTA as a part-time bus operator in May of 1999.  It only took a year to recognize his dedication and commitment to the company and was quickly promoted to full-time in September of 2000. He adds his latest accolade to DTA Employee of the Month in February of 2003 and February of 2014 and important to note is he was also selected DTA Employee of the Year in the year 2003.

The DTA’s mission is to provide a public transit service that is safe, convenient, efficient and affordable. and has been providing reliable service to the Duluth area for more than 130 years. The have 62 bus operators and 22 mechanics.   Randy Toland, who is a Bus Operator with the DTA was presented with the 20-Year Safety Award.
