Meet Chandler, A Strong-Willed 16-Year Old High School Kid
Because of donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, kids like Chandler can be helped.
In June 2015, Chandler was found to suffer from a rare brain tumor called medulloblastoma. He underwent two brain surgeries at a local hospital, during which doctors were able to remove part of the tumor. Chandler’s family then turned to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® for his continuing care.
At St. Jude, Chandler’s treatment will include 30 rounds of radiation therapy and seven rounds of chemotherapy. Families never received a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food—because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
“St. Jude means everything to us,” said Chandler’s mom, Cindy. “I don’t think we could be in a better place. We’re thankful to be here. We have complete faith and trust in Chandler’s doctor and nurses.” Chandler is a junior in high school. He likes to play guitar and video games.
