Los Hernandez Tamales Being Recalled

The United States Department of Agriculture is alerting consumers about a recall involving Los Hernandez tamales; so far 9,090 pounds of their product - sold under the Los Hernandez Authentic Pork and their Authentic Chicken Hand Made tamales are part of the action, resulting from product leaving the plant without the benefit of Federal inspection.

The products in question were produced between December 3, 2018 and February 7, 2019 - and sold in 30-pound boxes for resale.

At this point there have been no confirmed medical issues or illnesses in correlation to the chicken or the pork tamales food products.  And, there is no cause for immediate concern.  However, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)  is concerned that some product may be in consumers’ freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
