Keep your eyes peeled next time you go to your local Kwik Trip! A huge country star just stopped at the popular spot while in Wisconsin. Why couldn't this happen to me?

(See what I did there?) Over the weekend, Hoofbeat Country Fest took place in Cadott. I saw so many pictures from the festival on my social media feed and it made me think I need to go next year.

Russell Dickerson hit the stage on the first day of the festival on Thursday (June 25th), offering direct support for Kane Brown. He always puts on a killer show and has become a huge fan favorite over the past few years.

It seems that prior to hopping on stage, the country superstar made a stop at a local Kwik Trip! An excited employee shared a photo with the star and the sweet story behind the encounter, which definitely warmed my heart.

Russell Dickerson Stops By A Wisconsin Kwik Trip - See The Pic

I love fan encounters like this one! An employee from a Kwik Trip in Cadott shared a photo outside the local store. It turns out that an employee at the convenience store heard whispers from his coworkers that the star had just popped in but he missed it.

It turns out that this employee and his partner have a special connection to the song Yours and that made this encounter all the more meaningful. John ran outside to catch Russell before he left and the two chatted for a bit and even took a photo together.

The funniest part of the story is that John even thanked the coworker who took over for him so he could go run after Russell and say hello! I would totally do the same thing and I think it is hilarious.

This reminds me of a story from a few years ago when Darius Rucker stopped into a Wisconsin gas station incognito. Fun fact: he paid the bill to fill up his entire tour bus and was as kind as can be. He had just played a show in Minnesota. Fun!

Russell Dickerson Wraps His Big Wheels & Backroads Tour

Russell Dickerson wrapped his 2024 Big Wheels & Back Roads Tour last weekend with a pair of shows in Florida. Photos from the weekend show the kind of high-energy party one would expect from a man who just took his song ("God Gave Me a Girl") to No. 1.
