Add this to your weekend watch list! A new Lifetime movie will look very familiar to Minnesotans, especially to us living in the Duluth area.

A new movie came out on Sunday (February 23rd) and according to IMDb, it was filmed all over are neck of the woods. Aside from homes in Twig and Saginaw, you'll also notice a few other familiar sights.

The film is called Murder at the Lighthouse and it is perfect for fans of thriller movies. It is also getting great reviews so definitely add this to your watch list.

I LOVE Lifetime movies and every movie is better when you get a fun Northland connection, right?

So what is the movie about? Lifetime's official page for the movie shares this synopsis on the film, writing:

Fleeing her abusive ex, Jess hires a fishing boat captain to take her across Lake Superior to a new life in Canada. When an accident leaves her washed up on shore, she’s taken in by a reclusive lighthouse keeper. As Jess is nursed back to health, she realizes she’s wandered into another trap altogether.

The film stars Skye Coyne, Tyler Noble and Mark Justice, among others. The movie was produced by Mandy June Turpin, who is responsible for other hit movies filmed right here in Duluth.

You can catch the movie on the Lifetime Channel or on Lifetime's website. However, at this time, you will have to log in with your television provider in order to watch. It looks like it will definitely be worth it!

The film is set in Canada but aside from private homes in Twig and Saginaw, parts of it were also filmed in Superior. A good portion of the cast and crew has local roots too, which is also awesome.
