Hollywood Actor Makes History For Role As Bob Dylan
Representing Minnesota and the Northland! The Screen Actors Guild Awards were held on Sunday night (February 23rd) and there's a fun connection.
The award show honors the best in television and movies from the year prior and one Hollywood actor took home an award for his role as Bob Dylan!
Of course, Bob Dylan is famously from northern Minnesota, having been born in Duluth. He's our big claim to fame around here.
Timothée Chalamet played him in last year's hit A Complete Unknown and was awarded in a massive way for it at the award show - making history along the way.

He was visibly shocked, making this his first big award win of the season for the role. He won in the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role Award category.

While this is amazing for so many reasons, the best part is that the actor made history for winning for his role as Bob Dylan, making him the youngest winner in the category in history. Yes, Timmy!
He is nominated for his role at the Oscars this weekend and I am rooting for him! He really dove into the role head first, visiting the Iron Range while in town doing research for the role early last year.

He seemed to enjoy our neck of the woods, sipping a beer at a downtown Duluth bar and sharing a photo of his brew after the fact. I hope he takes home a win at the Oscars. What a fun Minnesota connection that would be.
