The City of Duluth is inviting the public to a free workshop to learn about invasive knotweed and how to fight it.

The city has partnered with the Duluth Collaborative Invasive Species Management Area (CISMA), MDA, and the Hartley Nature Center for a free workshop on Thursday, August 8th from 6 PM - 8 PM at the nature center on Woodland Ave.

If you plan on attending you learn about how to identify Knotweed, best management practices, effective treatment options, and learn about additional resources.

Documented in over 300 spots in Duluth, Knotweed can damage properties,
stream corridors, and greenspace and it spreads very quickly, making management an important subject.

Disposing of Knotweed can be tricky as the person must avoid spreading the weed even more or to a different location, this workshop will teach you those techniques.
