Two stores are closing their doors inside the Miller Hill Mall.

Justice and Lane Bryant announced Thursday (July 23rd) that they would be closing these locations. According to WDIO, the stores were already struggling financially but the pandemic made things worse. Both stores are owned by Ascena Retail Group.

According to USA Today, Justice will be closing 13 stores in Minnesota and 13 in Wisconsin. These are just a handful of the more than 600 locations that will be closing nationwide.

USA Today reports that Lane Bryant is shutting down over 150 stores nationwide. The Miller Hill Mall location is the only one that will be closing in Minnesota as of now. A store in Eau Claire is the only closure listed for Wisconsin. According to the report, there will be "store closing" sales for the next month or two.

If you recall, Miller Hill Mall, along with most other businesses, were forced to shut down temporarily back in March as concerns over COVID-19 grew. They were able to reopen in May with new safety guidelines and protocols.

In May of this year, Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works both announced that they would be shutting down stores across the country. The parent company, L Brands, stated at the time that they had taken a big loss in profit, especially for the few months of this year where they were forced to close stores due to the pandemic. Both stores have locations in the Miller Hill Mall but are still open and in business as of now.
