This is almost too much for my heart to take! A famous television actor and rapper spent the weekend in Minnesota.

If you're obsessed with Law & Order: SVU like me, you'll be just as excited: Ice-T sat courtside at a Minnesota Timberwolves game over the weekend!

I had to do a double take when I first saw the news on social media. This might seem random but it turns out he was at the game for work. (Sadly, he was not filming an episode of SVU.)

He was tapped to be part of a fun marketing campaign for Adidas earlier this year, where he played a detective alongside Veda Howard. It is safe to say he delivered and did it again over the weekend.

Ice-T Attends Timberwolves Game For Fun Marketing Campaign

He's obviously the perfect person for the campaign, since he's played a detective for more than two decades on television. The campaign is a means to promote Anthony Edwards' new line of sneakers with Adidas.

In the commercial, Ice-T and Veda are called to a crime scene to investigate who 'attacked' the basket. This is great marketing because while I am not a sports girl, this definitely got my attention. Ha!

Ice-T Marketing Campaign Turns Target Center Into A Crime Scene

To turn the fun up a notch, they also turned the Target Center into the 'crime scene' from the commercial so fans attending the game could have a fun and immersive experience. Even Ice-T took a few minutes to check it out.

I love that he and Veda also dressed up as detectives when they sat courtside, and had sneakers in an evidence bag under their seat. Someone give these marketing professionals a raise because this is amazing!

Another Minnesota Connection

Recently, on Easter, Ice-T's longtime cast mate Mariska Hargitay shared a photo of herself rocking a shirt from Minnesota. It was a shirt you'd get when you stop in a place and want a souvenir.

Are these two trying to tell us something? Probably not but maybe they'll move their hit show to Minnesota one of these days. (A girl can dream!)
