The United Way kicks off their 'Holiday Edition of Day Of Caring' tomorrow in the Northland.  This single day event is a "concentrated push" promoting volunteerism in The Northland and will feature volunteers working on 14 different projects.

Some of those events include the Holiday Mail for Heroes at the American Red Cross, Cocoa with kids at Myers-Wilkins Elementary, and Holiday Cheer for Homeless at the Harbor House Crisis Shelter.

The United Way also uses this day to highlight how they work together with the community with partner organizations and "Live United!"  Last year over 100 volunteers helped out locally on the Holiday Edition Day of Caring.  This year they would like to see more.

If you have interest in participating or donating to the United Way, visit Volunteer Duluth or Volunteer Superior.
