Harold’s Hogfest St. Jude Fundraiser Happens Saturday in Carlton
It was just last week where we shared the news with you that Harold's Golf Fiasco raised over $21,000 for the kids at St. Jude. The annual golf outing had a record number of registered golfers. Now we switch gears to the next fundraiser that once again benefits the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital: Harold's Hogfest!
The hog roast will take place once again this Saturday, September 12th at the Carlton VFW located at 124 Chestnut Ave, Carlton, MN 55718. They get up early and roast the hog that morning and start serving at noon. You can expect delicious pulled pork sandwiches and all the sides. Last year they went through 22 dozen buns, 54 pounds of coleslaw, and a lot of pork! They'll serve until 5pm, and you can get a delicious plate for a small donation to St. Jude. Of course you can always donate more like many people do to help this wonderful cause.
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is the leading research center for catastrophic childhood diseases such as cancer, sickle cell anemia, and other diseases. St. Jude shares their research freely with the world in the hope of curing childhood cancer. Harold Ankrum and his friends and family have raised over $320,000 for the hospital in the last 20 years. It's truly remarkable to see a small town like Carlton band together and be so generous.
