Fresh off the success of another Harold's Fiasco Golf Tournament, the gang is at it again on Saturday, September 10. It's time once again for the delicious and fun Harold's Hog Fest. It's a pig roast that has all the sides and trimmings to raise money for the kids at St. Jude.

As always, it will take place at the Carlton VFW, located in downtown Carlton at 124 Chesnut Avenue. Volunteers start the day very early to roast the pork. Mike Svacina gets up and starts cooking at 4 AM so it's ready for serving at Noon.

There will be fresh meat, cheesy potatoes, hotdish, Ray's famous baked beans, coleslaw, dinner roll, and a dessert all for only $8 a plate. All the proceeds go to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The annual Hog Fest is just one of several fundraising efforts by Harold and his family and friends throughout the year. The annual Harold's Fiasco is the premiere event of the year, but the Hog Fest and Flippin' Flapjack pancake breakfast have gotten bigger each year. Even during COVID-19, they kept donations rolling in when we couldn't get together in person. They had drive-up donations that raised a ton of money!

So come out this Saturday for some good food and fun at the Carlton VFW!
