Harold’s Fiasco Events In Carlton, MN Raise A Record Amount For St. Jude
The Carlton Crew have done it again! They never disappoint with how much money they raise to help the kids at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Each year it seems to get more and more. Following all the events this year, Harold and his family and friends will be sending a big check to St. Jude!
It started this year with the drive up donation event. That took place the last two years because of COVID-19. Normally they had a pancake feed at the Four Season's Complex in Carlton, but instead they decided to hang out downtown in Carlton and accept drive up donations. They raised a lot of money on that cold spring day, and more donations came in to Harold's Service in Carlton in days and weeks to come. They raised around $10,000 or more! That's incredible.
Next was the flag ship event which has been taking place the longest: Harold's Fiasco. For Harold's birthday years ago they started a golf fundraiser, eventually deciding to donate the money to St. Jude. It's grown each year, and this year was a great turnout despite some bad weather. They were able to raise $21,000 and have a lot of fun while doing it.
Next came the Hog roast where they served up 19 pork butts, 24 buns, pounds and pounds of Ray's beans, and so much more food. They served over 320 meals on September 12.
All those events combined and the total came to over $40,000 in 2021! That's an incredible amount that will do so much good in helping patients and their families at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
