The Great Lakes Aquarium has a event coming up that I thought I was pretty cool.  They have a partnership with the Lighthouse Center for Vision Loss and are making it possible for people with vision issues to have a meaningful aquarium experience.  I like the idea of this, while I didn't have total vision loss, I did lose vision in one eye.  So programs like this I feel should be shared and available.

This special event takes place on Saturday, November 9th, from 10:00AM-4:00PM and has a discounted rate of just $12.00 for adults and $7.00 for youth.  Activities will include: Large print braille and audio exhibit descriptions, audio described interpretive programs and animal feedings, all touch pools open and staffed to assist the touch experiences, tactile stations with staff to describe animals, habitats, and artifacts, Lion's Club vision screenings, and Lighthouse Center for Vision Loss tools and technology demonstrations.

You do need to RSVP for the reduced admission and you can do that and get more information here.
