Have you ever heard of ice-karting? That's where you can drive a go-kart around a frozen track outdoors in Minnesota. It's a pretty insane idea, but it's happening again this winter.

I first shared the story of Epic Kart Racing a couple of years back. They are now in their third season and will be having their first dates open soon.

This year they will be operating the go-kart tracks in the Lindstrom area, which is about 30 miles north of the Twin Cities metro area.

Epic Kart Racing starts its season on January 30th in Lindstrom, Minnesota at South Center Lake. According to a FB post, booking will be available on the evening of Monday, January 27th.

Epic Kart Racing says to keep checking back to see what other dates will be coming. It depends on the permits and logistics needed to make this unique activity happen.

How much does it cost?

According to their website, it costs $79.97 + tax for each rider. It's an hour-long session that involves training, warm-up, and then ultimately 20 minutes of racing time.

What are the age requirements?

Drivers must be 14 years old and a minimum height of 4' 10". Drivers must be able to reach and competently operate the controls.
