It has definitely been an interesting spring so far. Or should I say, it has been the longest winter ever! Despite it feeling somewhat like spring lately, we did see some flurries in downtown Duluth yesterday (May 5th).

It seems that winter is still hanging on, which isn't too unusual for our region this time of the year. It hasn't been too warm yet, despite a few warm days here and there, and flurries remain in the forecast.

Eventually, something has to give, right? Thankfully, the National Weather Service of Duluth just shared some great news: a nice warm up is on the horizon for us!

They shared details on social media Tuesday, along with a warning that fire weather might be an issue as we head into the weekend. Definitely make note of that.

Best news ever! The National Weather Service of Duluth shared that we will actually feel like spring soon, with temperatures rising into the 60s and 70s by next week. This truly is the best news ever.

We can expect temperatures to really start rising during the second half of next week. We also aren't looking at much precipitation either, so you can count out any snow and thunderstorm activity.

This will be a slow transition, so don't expect it to be warm one day. We will slowly make our way towards warmer temperatures. I am so excited to see what next weekend holds but I will take it a day at a time.

It should also be noted that it will be windy. It has been super windy as of late and it looks like that is going to continue. I will take what I can get, as long as it stops snowing. Mother Nature, I hope you're listening.
