Skywalk Upgrades Showcase The Beauty Of Northern Minnesota
It's been a while since I've been in the Duluth Skywalk over by the DECC, so I missed this cool facelift. The Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center has installed three large graphics on the walls of the Skywalk into the DECC. I noticed them last night as we walked to the Northern Lights Foundation Gala.
The goal for the graphics was to "liven up the hallway and to inspire future travel to our many out-of-town visitors." I think it's a great idea to showcase more of what you can discover north of Duluth.
The first graphic you can see from a walk downtown is a beautiful shot of the mine lakes of the Iron Range.

Another wall graphic is a sunrise photo of the North Shore by the Lighthouse Keeper at Split Rock Lighthouse north of Duluth.
The third graphic is a map of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area near Grand Marais that was made by McKenzie Maps.
The graphics were sponsored by Visit Cook County, MN, Lovin' Lake County, MN, and Discover The Range.
The Duluth Skywalk system crosses I-35 to the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center. The graphics are located past the entrance to the Duluth Curling Club, along the way to the conference center and Lake Superior Ballroom.
