Duluth Celebrates Completion of New ‘UltraScreen’ Auditorium, Featuring D-Box Motion Seats [PHOTO GALLERY]

This is exciting news, especially for a huge movie buff like me.  Going to a movie should be a night out, an experience, rather than just going and sitting on your butt for a couple hours and then going about your night.  Duluth just joined the ranks of one of the top cities to enjoy a night out at the movies.

Marcus Theaters announced the completion of a new 'UltraScreen' auditorium and the remodeling of the company's Duluth Cinema, located in the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center. The project included the renovation of the former adjacent DECC OMNIMAX Theater structure into the company's 14th 'UltraScreen', adding a 'Take Five' Lounge and remodeling the cinema's lobby, entrance and box office.

You read that right, there will now be a lounge where you can enjoy cocktails and finger foods while talking about the movies and just hanging out.  That will add so much to the experience, but the best new feature may be the amazing D-BOX motion seat technology.

According to Marcus Theaters, the cutting-edge D-BOX Technologies Inc. motion seats will completely immerse audiences in the viewing experience by making realistic movements and vibrations in perfect sync with the on-screen action.  This  feature is available in 29 of the auditorium's 244 seats for an additional $8.00 per reserved ticket.  D-BOX seats can be reserved through the box office or online at marcustheaters.com.

Get ready for all this amazing new fun, it begins in-full July 3rd with the opening of  'The Amazing Spider-Man' which is just the type of movie that this experience is designed for.  See you at the movies!
