It's a favorite local tradition for many, the 26th annual Twin Ports Thanksgiving Day Buffet held at the DECC on Thanksgiving Day, November 26. The community is invited to enjoy a free turkey dinner with trimmings from 11a - 4p and the DTA is offering FREE rides to the event.

Monica Hendrickson, event coordinator says, "No one should be alone or unable to provide a meal to their loved ones on this special day of Thanksgiving. It’s all about giving back and we hope we can continue this tradition for years to come.”

The Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) has been providing free rides to the event for the past 26 years!  National Bank of Commerce makes the free service possible this year.  It's  part of their FREE holiday service throughout the day on Thanksgiving.

You'll find their Holiday Service Schedule for each regular route in the shaded area of the “Sunday” section within the DTA’s passenger hand schedules or  online at duluthtransit.com.

There will be two special Thanksgiving Holiday Service shuttle buses; “Turkey Bus 1” and “Turkey Bus 2”.  Those are the buses you should look for to be transported directly to the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center (DECC) from selected sites throughout the Twin Ports. There will be “Turkey Bus 1” and “Turkey Bus 2” signs in the destination signs to distinguish this special shuttle service from regular-route buses.

Here are a few of the DTA locations where participants can catch a ride to the DECC:

·  CHUM Drop-In Center, 125 N. 1st Ave. W.
