This Saturday, July 14, drivers will be coming from across Minnesota to compete in the 31st Annual Minnesota State Bus Roadeo at the Duluth Heritage Sports Center.  The Duluth Transit Authority is hosting this event, which is free and open to the public.

The 2018 Minnesota State Bus Roadeo runs from 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., with 16 bus operators competing in the Large Bus Division and 26 in the Small Bus Division.

The event features 12 different obstacles that competitors will be scored on for both accuracy and timing. The Grand Champion in both divisions will represent Minnesota at the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) and the American Public Transit Association (APTA) national bus roadeos next year.

The opening ceremony begins at 8:00 a.m., with the competitions beginning at 8:45 a.m.

The Duluth Transit Authority first hosted the Minnesota State Bus Roadeo in 1989 and most recently hosted it in 2014.
