Grandma's Marathon is hosting another Minnesota Mile foot race this Sunday, September 7.  The race starts at 9a with the last race at 10:20a.  The race course is on Superior Street, downtown Duluth and that means that the DTA buses will need to be re-routed during that time.

 

Superior Street will be closed to all traffic from 8:30a to approximately 11:30a from 8th Avenue East to 4th Avenue West. Buses will detour as follows:

  • All Routes 2 & 3 to Routes 10H & 7: Via regular route to Superior Street and 5th Avenue West, then detour north (left) on 5th Avenue West to 1st Street, west (left) on 1st Street to 6th Avenue West, north (right) on 6th Avenue West to 2nd Street and east (right) on 2nd Street. Continue on 2nd Street to regular route.
  • Route 7 to 9M: Via regular route to 3rd Avenue East and 1st Street, then continue on 1st Street, south (left) on 5th Avenue West, west (right) on Superior Street and regular route.
  • ALL Route 11K to Route 7, Route 13 to Route 10 and Route 10 to Route 13: Via regular route 6th Avenue West and Superior Street, then East on Superior Street to 5th Avenue West, north (left) on 5th Avenue West to 1st Street, west (left) on 1st Street to 6th Avenue West, north (right) on 6th Avenue West to 2nd Street and east (right) on 2nd Street. Continue on 2nd Street to regular route.
  • Route 10H to Route 2 or 3: Via regular route to 3rd Avenue East and 1st Street, then detour west (right) on 1st Street, to 5th Avenue West, south (left) on 5th Avenue West to Superior Street, west (right) on Superior Street and regular route.
  • Transit Center and Holiday time points will be at 2nd Avenue West and 1st Street westbound and at 2nd Avenue West and 2nd Street eastbound.

September 7 is also the day that other schedule changes are taking place with the DTA.
