With Easter Sunday arriving this week, I thought it would be a great time to remember a song about a miracle with my Country Throwback.  This John Michael Montgomery song instantly came to mind.

"The Little Girl" tells the story of a girl who is born into a nightmare of a home, where violence and addiction is commonplace.  One night the violence escalates to the worst possible outcome, as the girl hides behind the couch to escape the violence.

Later, the girl sees a picture of Jesus hanging on the cross and says she knows he got off because he was at her side the night that her parents died.

With a powerful story and a powerful message and "The Little Girl" became a number one hit for John Michael Montgomery in 2000.  The supporting vocals by Alison Krauss give the song added depth and give many chills to this day.

Enjoy the video and have a Happy Easter!
