Costco Receives Final Permission from City to Build Duluth Store
There has been a lot of buzz surrounding Duluth getting a Costco Store and Tuesday night, final permission to begin construction was granted by the City Of Duluth.
According to KBJR-TV, the Duluth Planning Commission gave Costco permission to start building the new store near the intersection of West Arrowhead Road and Haines Road.
This is the final approval required from Duluth, but now another step of Costco submitting a wetland mitigation plan to the Army Corps of Engineers remains.
There are no anticipated issues with that process, so it's looking very likely that construction can begin within the next year.
Costco is a popular discount warehouse chain which sells electronics, computers, furniture, outdoor living, appliances, jewelry, groceries and more.
Shoppers need to secure a membership to enjoy savings at Costco. Memberships start at $60 per year for the Gold Star Membership and top out at $120 per year for the Business Executive Membership.
