Another big change is coming to Costco stores! While the checkout line can be a little bit crazy, it looks like that might be coming to an end or at least changing quite a bit. Let's dive in.

I saw on Monday (March 31st) that Costco was making a huge change to customers checking out. It's always a bit chaotic, even if it is organized chaos. Ha!

The store is also always busy so anything they can do to make things more seamless is okay by me. I always panic in the checkout as well because there is always a line and I am worried about being fast enough for everyone behind me.

It appears those worries are a thing of the past, with a new change being rolled out at Costco stores nationwide as we speak, including those in both Minnesota and Wisconsin.

What Is The New Change Being Rolled Out At Costco?

According to reports, staff members will now come to you while in the checkout line and scan all of the items in your cart. That is amazing! When you reach the register, you will scan your membership card and all your items will load automatically on the screen.

Then, all that is left for you to do is pay for them. This is an incredible idea! The Duluth location is always especially busy no matter what day or time I go so this will definitely make things flow much smoother.

Other reports say this is just the beginning and things may change even more in the future. For now, the goal is to get transactions to take just seconds and so far, it seems to be working.

My husband was just at Costco over the weekend and didn't mention a change so it's likely not in effect here yet. I will be on the beat because I love Costco. It's so fun to poke around in there!
