One of the best parts of shopping at Costco comes at the end. You've made your purchases (probably more than you planned), and then you reward yourself with a treat from the food court. There's a new food court menu item for you to try out, and it's extra sweet!

New Strawberry Shortcake Sundae

Costco made a change to its dessert lineup, and it's rolling out across the country. They're getting rid of the Caramel Churro Sundae and replacing it with a Strawberry Shortcake Sundae.

The new Strawberry Shortcake Sundae features strawberry ice cream, cake bites, and comes with strawberry topping.

Not Available Everywhere Just Yet

It's not available everywhere just yet. When they roll out new flavors, it takes a while before all stores are up to speed. I went to our local Costco in Duluth, and the limited-time Caramel Churro Sundae that came out a couple of months ago is still on the menu. Darn!

There's another trade-off, according to Delish. They've found that Costco can't offer the chocolate soft serve while the strawberry sundae is available. So it will just be vanilla or strawberry ice cream available.

The sundaes are only $2.99, and I have to say a refreshing strawberry shortcake sundae is going to be perfect for the summer. I'll keep a lookout when it's available and let you know when you can try it. It's probably not going to be around forever, so make sure you get it while it's hot (or frozen).
