City Of Duluth Issues Advisory For No Unnecessary Travel Wednesday
This shouldn't come as a huge surprise but the City Of Duluth wants you to stay put Wednesday (November 27th) if possible.
City officials posted a note on their Facebook page, asking residents to avoid hitting the road if possible thanks to our first big snowstorm of the season. Here's what they had to say:
ALERT: The City of Duluth advises no unnecessary travel.
Plows are out in full force, but warm ground temps and rain have forced us to use chains to travel safely. Please respect plow drivers and maintain a safe distance behind them.
Thank you!
Heavy snow moved in Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, dropping a ton of snow on the Northland. The snow has left roads icy, visibility poor and conditions dangerous.
Roads were so bad at one point Wednesday the Duluth Transit Authority activated their mainline service.
Stay inside until things clear up and put off travel plans for the holidays until mother nature calms down.
