The day I turned 16, I took my driver's license test.  From the day onward, I was now forever hooked to a car.  I got my first job so I could pay the high insurance cost just for me to drive.  I was now paying for gas, vehicle maintenance, and everything else in between.  A lot of the youth nowadays don't want to do that.

I love new technology!  I have friends and family who swear by Apple and their iPad.  However, competition is a great thing, and Microsoft wasn't going to sit on the tablet sideline for long.

Walker prevails in recall election - Photo by Justin Sullivan/Getty Images NBC New is reporting that Governor Scott Walker has survived the recall election in Wisconsin.  It appears Walker received 59% of the vote, while Democrat challenger Tom Barret received 40.5% of the vote.

Let me start by saying that I'm an Adam Sandler fan at heart.  I thought he was funny on SNL and I appreciated the dumb humor of 'Happy Gilmore' and 'The Waterboy'.  I liked his romantic comedies 'The Wedding Singer' and '50 First Dates', largely because he got a huge assist from the lovable Drew Barrymore in both films.  However, lately Adam Sandler has been about as funny as a Mitt Romney vasect

Breastfeeding in public has recently been a hot topic and now this picture of military moms breastfeeding in uniform is causing outrage for some people, according to Yahoo. The photo is part of a local breastfeeding awareness campaign by Mom2Mom of Fairchild Air Force Base, a support group launched in January by Crystal Scott, a military spouse and mother of three.

Dario Franchitti won the 96th running of the Indy 500 on Sunday by holding off a charging Takuma Sato, who crashed on the last lap. It was the third Indy 500 win for Franchitti, making him one of 10 drivers to win the race three or more times. Piloting his red No. 50 Target-sponsored car, Franchitti won despite starting 16th.

I can't believe anyone would think this is a good idea, but watch these this guy attempt to be funny with a game of 'peek-a-boo' by putting a toddler in a washing machine!  What he did not realize is that the machine has an auto-lock feature and the baby was instantly trapped inside as the machine started up and began to cycle...

Earlier this week the music industry mourned the loss of Donna Summer and now we end the week with more sad news involving a 70's icon.  Robin Gibb has passed away at the age of  62 after a long battle with cancer.  According to CNN.com, after being diagnosed with colon and liver cancer, Gibb had been in a coma as he battled pneumonia earlier this spring.

The NATO summit always brings out strong feelings and actions as this video demonstrates.

It was a sad day in the music industry Thursday as we learned of the passing of Donna Summer at the age of 63.  She had been battling cancer, although she kept those details private.  She had rightfully been called ‘The Queen Of Disco’, but her influence reached across all  genres of music, even into country.

One of the most unique shows in awhile is The History Channels 'Swamp People'.  This show follows the very unique life of brothers Mitchell and Glenn Guist.  These guys lived life on their own terms and most people I know who watched the show found themselves hooked.  Sadly, one of the brothers passed away on Monday.
