Budweiser Nails It Again With Emotional Step Father’s Day Video

I'm not ashamed to admit that this brought a tear to my eye. It's not the first time a beer commercial has done that to me either, particularly from the crack marketing team at Budweiser. In this video they salute Step Fathers, and they do a magnificent job.

All dads are important. If you're lucky enough to have had a good step father come into your life, you know how important that is too. My parents divorced when I was young, and my mom remarried several years later. My Step Father Jim came into my life and gave me the stability that I desperately needed. While step parent relationships can be complicated during those growing years, many times looking back with maturity you see the big picture and are overcome with gratitude.

I've been a step dad myself for 10 years now. I love my son, and I knew going into the relationship with my wife that it was a package deal. I went from a single guy with no worries to a family man rather quickly. Some would say that I stepped up and helped out when they needed me, but in reality I think they saved me too.

So if you combine all of these emotions that we share about our step parents or step children, it makes this video all the more powerful.  Nice job, Budweiser.
