Buc-ee’s Expanding To The Midwest – Is Minnesota Finally On The List?

It's no secret that in the midwest, we are all about our gas stations. It's just a way of life in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

I mean, we all have our favorite items from Kwik Trip and go there religiously day in and day out. It has even won national awards, and was recently voted one of the best workplaces for 2025.

Another major gas station that has love nationwide on the same level is Buc-ee's. I have been to one before in Texas and I can attest that it is amazing.

They are famous for their elaborate stores, filled with unique snacks, merchandise and apparently, the cleanest bathrooms in America (according to a 2012 study).

Buc-ee's Announces New Locations For 2025 - Including One In Wisconsin

The famous chain is going big this year, opening a handful of new stores nationwide. This includes the first Wisconsin location in Oak Creek. I smell a road trip in our future.

It is about a six hour drive but worth it to get some famous Buc-ee's treats. According to Finance Buzz, there are thirteen other locations opening across the country, including a handful in the midwest.

Is Minnesota Finally Getting A Buc-ee's Location?

I've tried manifesting a Minnesota Buc-ee's location before, even coming up with the perfect spot for it but it looks like we are out of luck this time around. Minnesota will not be getting its first Buc-ee's, at least not right now.

However, we won't be too bitter. I will try to be happy for the remaining cities that are getting a Buc-ee's this year:

Pass Christian, Mississippi

Rockingham County, Virginia

Ocala, Florida

Brunswick, Georgia

Gallaway, Tennessee

Oak Grove, Kentucky

Fort Pierce, Florida

Goodyear, Arizona

Ruston, Louisiana

Benton, Arkansas

Huber Heights, Ohio

Boerne, Texas

Mebane, North Carolina

Fingers crossed they announce more openings for the near future and we finally get a beloved Buc-ee's in our neck of the woods.
