Northern Minnesota Says Goodbye To Holiday Gas Stations

For as long as I can remember, Holiday Gas stations have been all across Northern Minnesota. Now they're going away and be replaced with a different store.

Circle K Acquired Holiday Gas Stations In 2017

Circle K acquired Holiday Gas Stations back in 2017. The parent company, Alimentation Couche-Tard purchased the Minnesota chain and started to rebrand some Holiday stores last year to Circle K, although most of those were not in Northern Minnesota.

Rebranding started in 2022.

Bring Me The News reported last year that the changeovers started in 2022 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Then, the switch started happening in Owatonna and the Twin Cities Metro area.

Rebrand Underway Now In Northern Minnesota

It comes as a surprise to many. I've noticed the Pike Lake, Minnesota Holiday Gas Station has now been rebranded to Circle K. Superior, Wisconsin's Holiday has been rebranded. Yesterday, I stopped for gas in Scanlon, Minnesota, and noticed they were changing over the signs there as well.

Minnesota Now Has 342 Circle K Gas Stations

Since Holiday Gas Stations were acquired by Circle K, they have become a huge gas station chain in Minnesota, with 342 locations. That's about 5% of their operations.

Circle K Fuel Day - March 27th, 40 cents off per gallon.

Also in the news, Circle K is doing its Inner Circle Fuel Day on March 27th. All Inner Circle members get 40 cents off every gallon between 6 am and Midnight at participating locations.
