Both Harris + Walz Motorcades Have Near Misses In Wisconsin
Both Vice President Harris and former President Donald Trump are on a campaign blitz with election day fast approaching. Both have made stops in Wisconsin, and just the other day there was an incident involving Harris' motorcade.
Suspected Drunk Driver Nearly Hits Harris' Motorcade
The Chicago Tribune reports that a suspected drunk driver entered the interstate on an off-ramp and drove the wrong way, passing Harris' motorcade within feet.
Harris was holding a rally in Brookfield, Wisconsin on Sunday night. Brookston is a suburb of Milwaukee. The motorcade was traveling on Interstate 94.
Sheriff's Deputies stopped the vehicle and suspected the driver had been drinking. The 55-year-old Milwaukee man also had an open container in the vehicle.

The man told authorities he was going home after a night out and didn't realize that he was driving the wrong way on the freeway. Deputies took the man into custody after he performed poorly on field sobriety tests. His blood alcohol content has not been shared at this time.

How did he get on the freeway?
The man entered the freeway on an off-ramp, which clearly wasn't blocked. The Secret Service doesn't share their policy on motorcades for safety reasons.
I've witnessed a Presidential motorcade come through town before, and every intersection from the airport to the destination is controlled by law enforcement.
VP Candidate Tim Walz' Motorcade Involved In Accident
Just last month, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz was in Milwaukee when his motorcade had vehicles involved in a crash.
Walz and his wife were not injured. A press van in the motorcade rear-ended another one. One of the reporters suffered a broken arm.
Apparently the highways in Milwaukee can be dangerous. A 10-mile stretch of road on Milwaukee's I-43(and 1-94) was named the deadliest stretch of road in the state.
