Boot Hockey Tournament Coming To Treasure Island Resort + Casino

The second annual Treasure Island Resort & Casino and Minnesota Wild Boot Hockey Tournament is coming soon and if you hurry, you can still register your team to compete.

Tournament weekend is Friday, February 7 through Sunday, February 9 at Treasure Island Resort & Casino, located at 5734 Sturgeon Lake Road in Welch, Minnesota.

Friday, February 7, everyone is invited into the Parlay Lounge for the draw party and to watch the Minnesota Wild vs. Dallas Stars game.  There will be drink specials and the Minnesota Wild’s mascot Nordy will make an appearance. The party begins at 6:00 p.m.

The two-day boot hockey tournament starts Saturday.  The games will be played outdoors by the Treasure Island Amphitheater. The first game will start Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with 16-team round robin. The single-elimination semi-finals and finals will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.

The top three teams will walk away with: $2,000 and a trophy for first place, $1,000 for second place and $500 for third place.

It should be a lot of fun for spectators too, with a warming tent with live music, food trucks and beverages.  Everyone in attendance can also enter to win Minnesota Wild suite tickets.

Teams of five to 10 people can register to compete in the tournament, with a team entry fee of $200.
