Big Wave Dave And The Ripples To Record Dylan Song With Rolling Stones Keyboardist

This is a rare opportunity to be a witness to some local history, with free tickets still available to attend the recording.

Rolling Stones piano player Chuck Leavell and Big Wave Dave and the Ripples are going to record the Bob Dylan song "Like A Rolling Stone" for a special PBS show. The show is called "The American Forest With Chuck Leavell"

Leavell, who studied forestry while he toured, uses the show to talk about nature and how to conserve the forests we have. Chuck Leavell, the host of the show, travels across the country to interview people who are passionate about the gifts we get from our woods.

Leavell is a former member of the Allman Brothers, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, a founding member of Sea Level, and has toured and recorded with the Rolling Stones for the last 40 years.

According to the "America's Forest with Chuck Leavell." website, Chuck Leavell is a tree farmer and conservationist. This one-song recording session with Big Wave Dave and the Ripples will be part of an episode featuring northern Minnesota called "Highway 61: Reforested." Which is why they are doing the song.

The recording will take place at Sacred Heart Music Center on March 29th at 3 pm. You can order some free tickets to sit in the audience. Sacred Heart Music Center is requiring studio audience members to be at the show right at 3 pm. Masking and vaccination cards or a 72-hour negative COVID-19 test are required to enter the building.

This is not a scheduled show, only a recording session with an audience and they will advise you at the recording how to act, including whether they need crowd noise or participation. Otherwise, it is advised to stay on the quiet side for recording.
