Over the past couple weeks, we took your nominations for the Northland's Best Musical Act. We were looking for your favorite area bands, duos, and other performers. After receiving hundreds of nominations, the top 5 are ready for your votes.
The more I go out around the Northland, the more I see and hear some very talented performers. From singers in coffee shops to full bands in bars, there is great music being made locally on a daily basis. Now it's time to find out who the best musical performer is in the Northland.

Breanne Marie is a local singer/songwriter who has recorded and produced her debut album titled “Six Strings of Peace & Sanity.” In April, she launched a project on Kickstarter.com with a goal of $3,200. By the deadline of May 11th, she had surpassed that goal with over $3,600 from 100 backers.
When I go host a local event or show, I am out talking to local musicians all the time and get CD's given to me or sent to me. Most of the time people want advice, I am happy to give my 2 cents on the project. Sometimes it's praise, sometimes it's not. Sometimes it's just a little direction. The biggest complaint I get is where do I go to get heard, what's the next step to get my music out. So,
