Better Business Bureau: Beware Of Popular Facebook Quizzes
You may have already assumed as much but you should be wary of those Facebook quizzes everyone seems to be doing these days! The Better Business Bureau recently issued a warning to social media users you probably want to know about.

This is a hidden type of scam that may seem harmless but could have some pretty bad consequences! What Facebook quizzes is this alert referencing? Those random ones you see all your Facebook friends doing that automatically posts the results!
The quiz may be something like 'what kind of animal are you' or 'which television character are you' or something random of that nature. You take a short quiz, answer a few questions about yourself or take a personality test, all to post the fun answer at the end.
The only problem is that the questions or the quizzes may ask for some personal information that can lead to your accounts getting hacked! This means scammers could target your banking information or steal your identity.
Some of those questions may include the following:
- What is your mother's maiden name?
- What street did you grow up on?
- What was the name of your first pet?
- What is your father's middle name?
- And the like.
Obviously, these quizzes may be fun and not all of them are scams. However, if you find yourself taking one that references any questions used above or similarly, close the window and don't submit your answers! Throw that whole 'Minnesota nice' thing to the curb.
