Every year the Humane Society of Douglas County puts on a 5K Walk/Run event to raise money for their cause.  Funds raised will go to help feed, house, and care for animals that they have brought in throughout the year.  For 2020 it's on September 19th, at 9:00AM.

The event will take place virtually or in-person.  If you want to attend the in-person version, it will be held at the Osaugie Trail in Superior, which is near the entrance of Barker's Island.  Registration will start at 8:00AM, that morning.  Should you choose the virtual route, that can be anywhere you feel comfortable.  So around your neighborhood, or on a favorite trail of yours would be great places.

For individuals to register, it's only $40.00.  For a family which includes parents and any minors, it's $95.00.  There will also be a drawing to win prizes for participants at the end of the race.  If you want to bring your dog to the in-person event, make sure that you have their current rabies vaccination certificate.  Your dogs must also be leashed at all times and each person may walk only two dogs.  Please also remember to be responsible and clean up after them.  As it's a family event, of course kids are welcome but they must be accompanied by and adult.  You can get more information about this event, including the registration details HERE.
