Animal Allies Celebrates 25 Years Of Their Walk For Animals Event In June
This is an exciting year for the Animal Allies Walk for Animals, it's their 25th year! It's not limited to canines either, you could walk your cat, duck or pull your pet in a wagon. While you and your pet get in a little exercise you'll enjoy the beauty of Lake Superior from Bayfront Festival Park.
I'm a self-proclaimed mammal lover, so the Walk for Animals is a great place for me (and you) to get your fill of fur babies. Mark your calendar for Saturday, June 3rd, with registration at 9:00 a.m. and the walk beginning at 10:00 a.m. They're expecting over 400 human participants with their fur babies in tow and there will be lots of stuff to keep you busy. Everyone is coming together to help raise money to provide shelter, food, medical care, and lots of love to cats and dogs in need.
Get your friends together to take part in the walk, get on Facebook and Twitter to ask for donations, hit up your friends, family and co-workers for donations. Animal Allies also has a special personal fundraising page that you can utilize to raise as much as possible, you'll get instructions on how to do that after you register for the walk. Their goal this year is $30,000.
