Vehicle and foot traffic on Park Point picks up in the summer and so does the the shipping industry.  It is a sure sign that warmer weather and sunny days are ahead when the Aerial Lift Bridge starts their summer schedule.  With the cooler weather, less tourist and ship traffic, it's time to transition back to the Fall schedule. What does that mean to you?

It means less opportunity to get "bridged"!  The Aerial Lift Bridge has begun operating "fall hours" as of today, September 8, 2015. That means the bridge will no longer be lifting on the hour and half hour for marine traffic.  Instead, the Lift Bridge will open only upon request through the remained of the shipping season.

For those lucky ducks in the boats and water vessels, you are reminded to maintain the posted slow-no wake speed in the entrance to the Duluth Ship Canal.
