A New Report Says This Is Minnesota’s “Drunkest” City
A new report by 247WallStreet.Com is bringing awareness to alcohol abuse within the United States. They used data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to make a list of the drunkest cities in every state.
Drinking rates and stats obviously vary from city to city and state to state.
So what is Minnesota's drunkest city? Mankato.
Here's a breakdown: Nearly a quarter of adults in the area drink excessively. According to this report, this happens to be the largest share of any of Minnesota's five metro areas. The good news is driving deaths due to alcohol consumption are uncommon.
Minnesota has also been deemed one of the drunkest states in the U.S. The sixth drunkest state, to be exact.
Green Bay was dubbed the drunkest city in Wisconsin, which placed second on the overall list of America's drunkest states.
North Dakota snagged the top spot. Rounding out the top ten is Alaska, Montana, Hawaii and Michigan, just to name a few.
You can find out how these lists were compiled here.
Side note: a few years back, Duluth was named the "Drunkest City" in Minnesota.
The list has some startling statistics and it has been popping up everywhere. I hope it brings awareness to a very important issue. It's worth a few minutes of your time to read up on the facts and the findings of the study.
