It was a perfect day.  Nice drive to the cities, no construction southbound, no traffic jams, the weather for the Kenny Chesney/Jason Aldean concert was beautiful.  But, it wasn't until the next morning I realized an irreversible mistake, one that cost me plenty!

Honestly I couldn't have asked for a better concert.  It ranks up there with Garth Brooks.  Cole Swindell and Brantley Gilbert rocked it early, then Jason Aldean took the stage and turned the heat up.  I usually don't buy or wear t-shirts except when I'm running, but Jason Aldean moved me to the point where I wanted a memento of the evening.

Kenny Chesney would be on next and Homie was excited to see him so rather than wait till he was on stage and everyone was back watching the concert, we made our way up the stairs and to the merch table.  The definition of a merch table is the table where they sell all the t-shirts, CD's, posters and any other souvenirs that the artist have to sell.  It was utter chaos at the time I was there but I'm pretty good at weaseling my way to the front so it didn't take too long.  The shirts were labeled A, B, C, D, E and so forth.  When it was my turn I yelled over the very loud crowd "a K in small, please".  The gal reached back and gave me the wrong shirt.  I shook my head and said "no, a K, the one that says She's Country in pink with the camo".  She walked away to get it and at the time I thought it was weird that she'd leave the wrong shirt out with me (I wouldn't trust anybody there!)

While she was running my credit card I picked the wrong shirt up and moved it back towards her side of the table so she didn't think I was trying to steal it.  Then, she handed me my card and the receipt to sign, which I did, grabbed my ONE shirt and stuffed the receipt in my purse.  A happy the moment.

The next morning I was cleaning out my purse and a receipt with $70 on it caught my eye.  What the heck had I purchased for $70 and couldn't remember????

Yup, the merch table gal had charged me for BOTH shirts and I had only wanted one.  Because I was careless, the loud chaos and maybe, just maybe a few Bacardis, I paid double what I should have for my Jason Aldean shirt.  There is absolutely no way to prove that I only got one shirt or that she charged me incorrectly.  I thought about calling my credit card company but they will probably just laugh at me, no proof!  I have learned my lesson, I am going to be a receipt vulture now and make sure I am being charged correctly.  Until now I have just always assumed they charge me correctly and sign without looking.  Entirely my fault, no one to blame but me, but I plan to avoid this frustration in the future.  I hope my story will be a reminder to you when you're signing for purchases with a credit card.

PS:  Notice in the picture by my elbow, my dog laying like a frog.  LOL, so dang cute!
