It's undoubtly one of the best grocery shopping days in the Northland when a major snow storm is on it's way.  A month ago, we were forecasted to get 2 inches of snow, and the grocery store parking lots were packed.

It's been a long time since we've been snowed in, at least a few years.  But damn it.  We're going to stock up food,  along with other things.  I just got back from the store and here's a few things I went for that were sold out.

1.  Box Wine -  Technically not a grocery item, but if you're going to be stuck at home for an extended period of time, you better have something to drink.  My wife asked me to pick up some White Zinfandel (from a box).  Yep.  We are that classy.  To my surprise, the White Zinfandel was all out.  Another popular flavor was out as well!  We are going to have to settle with the Sunset Blush.

2.  Top The Tater -  YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!!  Apparently, more people than just us figured we were going to need top the tater!

3.  Hot Cocoa with Marshmellows. Yep all out.  And what's the point of getting the regular stuff either.

4.  Snow scrapers for you car. You know the ones with the little brush you can get at the gas station?  All out.  Mine broke today while shutting the car door.  Broke all but one tine of off the scraper part.  So tomorrow I will be scraping the car with one tine that is about a half inch wide.  Bad timing.
