I hate to say it but summer is basically over in the Twin Ports. We certainly got a good taste of summer over the past few months though.

It was hot, dry and muggy over the past few months and certainly one of the warmest summer seasons we have had in quite some time!

By the way - another great reason to reflect is to deflect from the fact that we are in for a brutal winter ahead. In late July, the National Weather Service revealed it was likely we would see a La Niña winter again, after having one during winter of 2020 - 2021.

In case you didn't know, a La Niña winter means brutally cold temperatures and quite a bit of snow. This is normal in the Twin Ports but it still doesn't make it fun. Ha!

Meanwhile, the Old Farmer's Almanac is predicting what they call a "season of shivers" for our region, telling us to brace for the coldest and longest winter we have seen in some time.

Summer, we will miss you. While we wait for next summer to roll around, take a look at these ten noteworthy weather events from summer of 2021 in Duluth.
