Mayor Jim Paine Shares On Why He's Against SWLP Rate Increase

Superior Mayor Jim Paine has publicly opposed the proposed rate hike from SWLP in recent weeks. This morning he went on to social media with a video at 3 am explaining that he's driving to Madison for the Public Service Commission hearing to speak out against the proposed rate increase. Here's his thoughts on why he is against it.

The hearing today will take comments for and against the rate increase. SWLP says they need to increase the rates because of improvements they have made and also because of the Husky Refinery temporary shutdown.
